Cassie Gillespie

Cassie Gillespie is a Lecturer of Social Work at the University of Vermont's Department of Social Work, affiliated with the College of Education and Social Services. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA), both from the University of Vermont.

Her expertise spans Organizational and Workforce Development, Trauma-Informed Practices, and Child Welfare. She co-authored a 2023 article on workplace trauma and stress in Law Practice Today and leads training initiatives through UVM's Child Welfare Training Partnership (CWTP).

Gillespie teaches courses including Foundations of Social Work, Social Work Practice I, and II. She produces the CWTP podcast The Social Work Lens, designed for child welfare professionals and caregivers.
