Dr. Cassidy VanderSchee is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at The King’s University. She holds a B.Sc. (2014) and Ph.D. (2021) in Chemistry from The King’s University and McGill University, respectively. Her research focuses on metals in biological and environmental systems, including vanadium transformation in the Athabasca Oil Sands Region (NSERC-funded) and lead poisoning in Caribbean populations (SSHRC-funded). She teaches courses in analytical, inorganic, and medicinal chemistry. Her work employs techniques like mass spectrometry, NMR, and X-ray spectroscopy.
