Cassandra Porter is an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at Auburn University. Her research focuses on polymeric/biomimetic membranes for desalination, reverse osmosis, and resource recovery systems. She leads projects on membrane durability and chlorine resistance funded by NSF and FTA grants.
Recent publications demonstrate innovations in tethered electrolyte membranes, ion-ion separation design, and bioinspired filtration systems. Her work addresses critical challenges at the water-energy nexus through materials engineering approaches.
