Dr. Casey Stannard is the Beverly Griffin Shea Associate Professor at Louisiana State University specializing in sustainable apparel design and fiber arts. Her research explores innovative applications of materials including wild alligator leather, 3D printed elements, and locally grown fibers through experimental patternmaking techniques.

Stannard's creative scholarship focuses on sustainable design methodologies including gradable zero-waste systems that eliminate textile waste throughout the sizing process. She investigates consumer interactions with wearable technology and analyzes market opportunities for sustainable materials. Her work with small fiber farmers examines Etsy marketing strategies for locally sourced materials.

With expertise in social-psychological aspects of dress, she has published on fan fashion practices, body image influences, and craft community behaviors.
