Casey Schaffer

Casey Schaffer, B.S.N., M.S.N., is an Assistant Professor at Colby-Sawyer College's School of Nursing & Health Sciences. She joined as an adjunct faculty member in 2019 and transitioned to full-time in 2023. Her clinical experience spans 8 years as a registered nurse and 4 years as a nurse practitioner, with expertise in neurosurgery, critical care, and emergency response. She teaches in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program.

• Education: M.S.N. from Walden University (2019), B.S.N. from Missouri Western State University (2011)

Her research and teaching focus on medical-surgical nursing, neurologic critical care, surgical/trauma critical care, and in-hospital emergency response systems. With extensive experience in progressive care units and neurosurgical practice, she contributes specialized knowledge to the nursing program.
