Casey L. Cook

Casey L. Cook is an Adjunct Professor and Associated Faculty in Collaborative Piano at the Ohio State University School of Music, within the College of Arts and Sciences. She serves as Principal Pianist for the School's Choral Studies Department and Ensemble Area, and has been affiliated with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra Chorus since 2000, joining as an Associate Member in 2011. Her expertise spans collaborative piano, choral accompaniment, and orchestral music performance.

Education: She trained at the Eastman School of Music under Dr. Nelita True and Mary Craig Powell, with early musical training beginning at age four. Her career includes over 30 years of accompaniment for prestigious organizations like the American Choral Directors Association and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra Chorus.

Performance Highlights: Three Carnegie Hall performances, including the premiere of Andrea Clearfield’s Home in Me and Andrea Ramsey’s Suffrage Cantata. She also leads piano instruction at Suzuki Music Columbus, serving 120 students in central Ohio.

Additional Roles: Pianist for mirabai, a professional women’s choir directed by Dr. Sandra Snow, and active in music education outreach. Her work bridges academic, ensemble, and community musical engagement.
