Carsten Trenkler is a Professor of Empirical Economic Research at the University of Mannheim since 2007 and a Research Professor at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg. He earned his doctoral degree in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2002 and has held research and teaching positions at the European University Institute, Florence, and the Universities of Berlin, Bonn, and Mannheim.
