Carsten Trenkler

Carsten Trenkler is a Professor of Empirical Economic Research at the University of Mannheim since 2007 and a Research Professor at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg. He earned his doctoral degree in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2002 and has held research and teaching positions at the European University Institute, Florence, and the Universities of Berlin, Bonn, and Mannheim.

• Teaching: Offers courses including Applied Econometrics, Advanced Econometrics III, and seminars on econometric theory and applications

His research addresses high-dimensional econometrics, systemic risk analysis, and statistical modeling in macroeconomic and financial contexts. He supervises bachelor's theses with a priority for students who have completed seminars in Applied Econometrics or time series analysis.
