Carrie Hintz

Carrie Hintz is a Professor in the Department of English at Queens College, CUNY. Her research focuses on 17th- and 18th-century literature, life writing, utopian studies, and children’s/YA literature. She is currently working on a monograph, *Two Part Invention: 400 Years of Spousal and Partner Memoir*, examining ethical and rhetorical dimensions of spousal memoirs. She collaborates on editorial projects, including Volume VIII of *The Correspondence of Richard Baxter* (Oxford UP) with Andrea Walkden and a forthcoming YA literature book with Eric Tribunella.

Her teaching spans courses like *Children’s Literature: #WeNeedDiverseBooks* and *Utopian Writing*. Her awards include the 2013 Children’s Literature Association Edited Book Award for *Contemporary Dystopian Fiction for Young Adults*. She explores pedagogical challenges in teaching religious texts through works like her essay on engaging religiously committed students. Her scholarship bridges historical analysis, genre studies, and cultural critique.
