Carolyn J. Heinrich is the Patricia and Rodes Hart Professor of Public Policy, Education, and Economics at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development. She also holds secondary appointments as Professor of Health Policy at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Professor of Economics in the College of Arts and Science. Her research focuses on education policy, workforce development, social welfare, program evaluation, and public management, with a strong emphasis on bridging academic research with practical policy solutions. Heinrich has held leadership roles, including President of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) and Editor of the Journal of Public Administration and Theory.
