Caroline Smith is an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in the Division of Hematology and Oncology. She joined UT Southwestern in 2023 after completing residency training at Boston Children’s Hospital and fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at UT Southwestern/Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

She investigates the tumor microenvironment and develops CAR-T cell therapies under the mentorship of Dr. Samuel John in the Alec Zhang Lab.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Alec Zhang Lab, collaborating on translational research in pediatric oncology.
