Caroline Schlockwerder

Caroline Schlockwerder serves as a Lecturer in Scenic Research at Munich's Otto-Falckenberg-Schule since 2018, following prior dramaturgy roles at Theater Aachen and Münchner Volkstheater. She maintains active artistic practice as a dramaturg and author in the Netherlands while teaching.

Her academic foundation includes:

Central to Schlockwerder's work is the integration of scenic research with community-based performance art and biographical exploration. She pioneered the "Zentrumstour" project engaging seniors aged 60-80 through the BUNNYHILL-Festival at Münchner Kammerspiele and co-founded theater collective HOTEL EUROPA. Their signature performance "Do you feel the same?"—featuring verbatim readings from performers' diaries—has toured international theater festivals. A scholarship at Maxim Gorki Theater's "Kinder der Sonne" workshop further developed her expertise in biographical narrative techniques.

Her methodology emphasizes experimental staging of authentic human experiences through collaborative creation, visual dramaturgy, and cross-generational artistic dialogue.
