Caroline S. Ledeboer

Caroline S. Ledeboer is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of English and TESOL at the University of Northern Iowa's College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences. She serves as the English and TESOL major advisor, as well as the advisor for TESOL, writing, and literary studies minors. With over 21 years of teaching experience in ESL and writing, she previously directed the university's writing center to support student writing development.

Her research interests focus on English linguistics, creative nonfiction, and the intersection of language structure with creative expression. Her creative work includes essays and prose poetry published in Narrative.com and Sentence. Beyond academia, she is a singer-songwriter with seven albums released under the duo Eacret and Ledeboer.

Caroline advises students across multiple programs but no grants or lab affiliations are noted. She resides in Cedar Falls with her dogs, Coco and Mistletoe.
