Dr. Caroline Madden is a Lecturer at the National College of Art and Design with a PhD in Educational Leadership and an MFA in 3D Sculpture. Her career includes previous roles as Professor of Art and Head of Studio at Jacksonville University (1992-2007), where she developed curricula and directed grants for arts programs. She co-founded the Glass Institute of the Southeast and served as its Director.
Madden's artistic practice spans sculpture, glass, ceramics, and metals. Her works are held in national collections including the National Museum of Ireland and Ulster Museum. She has created permanent installations such as 'Lyrical Light' (Florida) and 'Cycles' (Ireland). Additionally, she has taught workshops internationally at Pilchuck Glass School, UrbanGlass, and Pittsburgh Glass Centre.
