Dr. Caroline M. Telles is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Southern University and A&M College, serving as coordinator for the Microbiology Core Program and Biology Louis Stokes Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation since joining in 2008.
She earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology from Louisiana State University in 2003.
Her research centers on molecular genetics of MYST-family histone acetyltransferases (HATs) in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Natural Products-Microbiome interactions, contributing to Molecular Genetics, Epigenetics, Microbiology, and Microbiome fields through mechanistic and ecological approaches.
