Caroline Field

Caroline Field is a Visiting Professor of Structural and Infrastructural Resilience at Loughborough University, bridging academic research with practical applications. Her expertise spans over 26 years in asset and infrastructure resilience, with specialized focus on counter-terrorism, blast mitigation, earthquake engineering, and socio-organizational adaptive capacity.

She chairs the ISO Urban Resilience Standard Working Group and previously led the British Standard on City Resilience as Chair. Active in professional bodies, she holds roles in ASCE's Infrastructure Resilience Division and the AEI Resilience program. Her work emphasizes systems-based approaches to resilience, integrating physical and human dimensions to support strategic decision-making for clients via PA Consulting.
