Caroline Creton

Caroline Creton is a Lecturer in Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Angers (UCO), Faculty of Humanities, and currently serves as Head of L2 SIC at UCO-BS. She holds a Doctorate in Information and Communication Sciences from the University of Rennes 2 (2019). Her research explores how digital technology shapes cultural sectors, focusing on media uses of cultural actors, digital communication strategies, and platform impacts on cultural production/distribution. She investigates how musicians, gamers, and other creators navigate GAFAM-dominated platforms to become self-promoters. Recent work links music production challenges with platform economics, analyzing both creator practices and industrial frameworks.
