Carolina Salva Lopez

Carolina Salva Lopez is a Professor of Finance and Director of the Institute of Financial Analysis at the University of Neuchâtel. She holds a Ph.D. and Master’s in Financial Economics from Cornell University, USA, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Barcelona.

Her research focuses on Corporate Finance, Financial Valuation, Governance (including Board Governance, Corporate Governance, and Investment Processes), Institutional Investors, Pension Funds, International Finance, and Financial Markets. She has extensive teaching experience across bachelor’s, master’s, and executive education programs in Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, and France, including roles at HEC Lausanne, Vlerick Business School, and IE Business School.

Notable contributions include coaching student teams to victory in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, participation in university leadership as dean, vice-dean, and committee member, and professional expertise in consultancy and investment management within the private sector.
