Dr. Carolin Eitemüller is a Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry Education at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Faculty of Chemistry. She holds a Dr. rer. nat. (2015) and has been conducting postdoctoral research since 2016, focusing on educational technology, chemistry pedagogy, and student engagement. Her work includes developing digital learning tools with adaptive feedback and investigating predictors of student participation in pre-university programs.

Her projects include the EASE initiative (2022–2024) for digital assessment in chemistry studies and the development of competency models in organic chemistry. She has received awards such as the 2019 Diversity Prize and the 2016 Outstanding Academic Performance Award for her thesis.
Current grants include funding from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Educational Research (2024–2025) and the Stiftung Innovationen in der Hochschullehre (2022–2024). She advises PhD students André Kolbe and Martin Steinbach and collaborates with Prof. Maik Walpuski and colleagues on educational technology projects.
