Carol Neel

Carol Neel is a Professor of History at Colorado College, specializing in European Medieval Studies and the history of religious orders. She teaches courses on ancient Roman civilization, family life history, historiography, and the history of the book. Her research focuses on 12th-13th century spirituality, particularly the Premonstratensian order, and she co-authored a major work on Anselm of Havelberg. Neel serves on the editorial board of Premonstratensian Texts and Studies and has conducted research at the Hill Monastic Museum and Library in Minnesota during two sabbatical residencies at the Collegeville Institute.
