Carol Huber

Carol Huber is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of French at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill). She serves as the Resident Director of the UNC in Montpellier Programs in France, overseeing administrative and academic aspects of the study abroad program for over 15 years. Based in Montpellier, she specializes in teaching communication skills for cultural immersion and sustainability-focused coursework.

Education:

• MA in Romance Languages (French), UNC-Chapel Hill
• BA in French and Economics (Magna cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa), Kalamazoo College

Research & Professional Focus:

Her interests center on intercultural communication and sustainability initiatives in education. She co-developed a Trans-Atlantic Mobility Grant to strengthen university partnerships between France and the U.S., leading to a summer program on sustainability in Southern France. She is a board member of the Association of American University Programs in France (APUAF) and part of the European chapter of the Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE).
