Carmen Lim is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow at The University of Queensland's National Centre for Youth Substance Use Research. She holds a PhD in Public Health (2023) from The University of Queensland and a Medical Statistics degree from The University of Auckland (2012). Her research focuses on understanding youth substance use patterns, leveraging social media data for drug surveillance, and addressing global health disparities in substance use.
Current roles include leading an NHMRC-funded research program (Grant EL1, 2024) examining vaping trends and medicinal cannabis regulation. Awards include the NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellowship recognizing her contributions to public health research.
