Carmelo Caggegi

Carmelo Caggegi is a University Professor at Polytech Annecy Chambéry, part of University of Savoy Mont Blanc in France. He maintains a dual role as faculty member at the engineering school and researcher within LOCIE (Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Energy).

His research focuses on structural engineering with emphasis on:

• Structural reinforcement using advanced composite materials (FRP and TRM)
• Mechanical characterization and long-term durability analysis
• Rehabilitation methodologies for buildings and masonry structures
• Innovative measurement techniques using image correlation
