Carm De Santis is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream (Definite Term) in the Department of Sexualities, Relationships, and Families at the University of Waterloo. He holds clinical credentials including Certified Sex Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist, with over 25 years of clinical experience.
Education: MSc in Couple and Family Therapy, BA in Sociology (both from University of Guelph); currently completing a Doctorate in Family Relations and Human Development at University of Guelph.
Research focuses on consensual non-monogamy, social justice in relational therapy, and experiential learning. His work interrogates colonialism, white supremacy, and patriarchy within therapeutic contexts. He collaborates with researchers across disciplines including sexology, social work, and medicine.
