Carly Hickey

Carly Hickey is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chichester, combining over 20 years of professional experience in the Criminal Justice System with academic roles. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Criminology and Criminal Justice and an MSc in Crime Science, Investigation and Intelligence.

• Professional Experience: Probation Officer (2005–present), specializing in managing dangerous offenders and supporting victims of crime.
• Current Roles: Teaches within the professional qualifying degree programme for Trainee Probation Officers and facilitates group work with offenders in female prisons.

Research focuses on identifying and managing risks of harm through offending behavior, with a particular emphasis on domestic abuse intervention and victim support strategies.
