Carlotta Alpers

Carlotta Alpers is a Researcher at the Chair of Health and Prevention within the University of Greifswald. Her work focuses on understanding stigmatization and discrimination, empathy, and online behavior in disasters, particularly in the context of the Corona pandemic.

She contributes to the StiPEx project (stigmatization during the pandemic) and the #sosmap initiative, which analyzes social media communication for psychosocial crisis assessments. Funded by the BBK (W1714400) from August 2022 to July 2025, her research bridges digital behavior and health crisis management.
