Carlos M. Parra

Dr. Carlos M. Parra is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics at Florida International University. With extensive industry experience spanning corporate sustainability, business development, and process optimization, he brings practical insights to his academic work.

His research examines corporate social responsibility, behavioral aspects of technology adoption, and socio-economic dimensions of financial decision-making. Dr. Parra has particular expertise in analyzing sustainability communications through text mining methodologies and investigating cultural influences on technology perceptions.

Prior to academia, Dr. Parra held leadership positions at Citigroup and Komatsu, where he developed regional sustainability strategies, implemented microfinance initiatives, and led continuous improvement programs.
