Carlos Linares is an Associate Professor in the School of Business, Equine, and Sport Management at Midway University, where he teaches courses in human resource management, strategic management, employee compensation, and training. He joined the university in 2018, officially starting in August 2019, after serving on the graduate faculty at Sullivan University for nearly six years.
His research focuses on diversity and inclusion, particularly within Latino communities in organizational settings. He has developed several HR-related courses and is actively involved in advancing HR initiatives through academic and professional engagement.
Dr. Linares holds a Ph.D. in Management with an emphasis on HR Leadership and an MBA in Business Administration from Sullivan University. He earned his B.S. in Economics from Catholic Saint Mary University in Peru and an MBA in Economics from IEDE (Chile/Spain).
He has presented at multiple conferences and published papers in the Society of Advanced Management journal, contributing to the discourse on modern human resource practices and inclusive organizational strategies.
Dr. Linares lives with his wife, Ana Maria, a nursing researcher, and their chocolate Labrador, Hiro. Outside of academia, he enjoys traveling, reading, and watching basketball and soccer.
