Carlos Bañón

Carlos Bañón is an Associate Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), specializing in Architecture and Sustainable Design. He co-founded Subarquitectura Architects in Spain and AirLab @SUTD, focusing on innovative design and digital fabrication. His research spans parametric design, 3D printing, artificial intelligence in architecture, and affordable housing solutions.

Education: M.Arch. (University of Alicante, 2004) and Master in Complex Architectures (2007). He held visiting professorships at MIT and EPFL, and lectured globally at institutions like ETSAM Madrid and KEA Copenhagen.

Research interests include Geometric Exploration for Space Making, Digital Fabrication, and Sustainable Urban Development.
