Carlos Alejandro Andrade Guzman

Carlos Alejandro Andrade Guzman is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Chile, with a 44-hour work schedule. He holds a PhD from Universidad Alberto Hurtado (2021) and an Engineering degree in International Trade from Universidad Tecnologica Metropolitana (2006).

His research focuses on Social Work, Public Policy, and Gerontology, with recent work analyzing subjective well-being in older adults, intergenerational care, and cultural event attendance during the pandemic. He explores methodological adaptations in virtual ethnography and advocates for inclusive teaching practices in universities.

His publications (2010–2025) span journals like British Journal of Social Work and Quality in Aging and Older Adults, with themes in social inclusion, migration, and health policy. He has supervised theses on territorial compliance with probation, gender stereotypes in education, and family dynamics in prisons.
