Dr. Carlo Charles is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Windsor, affiliated with the Black Scholars Institute, and holds visiting roles at the University of Michigan and the CNRS French Collaborative Institute on Migrations. His research focuses on international migration, queer transnational relationships, race, and socioeconomic inequalities in the Americas, Caribbean, and Europe. He holds dual PhDs in Sociology and Geography, with awards including the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship and the CNRS Best Thesis Prize. His creative works include the play *Kap O Mond!* addressing Haitian migration and the manga *Homosexuality in Haiti*. Key teaching areas include race, inequality, and qualitative methods.
