Professor Carla Ramirez specializes in Intercultural Education and Educational Counselling at NTNU's Department of Education and Lifelong Learning. She holds an MA in Educational Counselling and PhD in Education from NTNU, with professional background as a school counsellor. Her research employs decolonial, feminist, and posthuman frameworks to examine social belonging, racialization, and embodied pedagogies.
Research investigates how educational systems reproduce exclusion through Western epistemological frameworks. She teaches courses on History of Education, Intercultural Education, and Project Development, integrating contemplative practices.
