Carla Fagan is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at the College of Health Sciences & Human Services, Methodist University. She joined Methodist University in August 2011 after teaching full-time at Southwest Minnesota State University, where she also served as Director of Field Instruction and Student Social Work Association Advisor. Her extensive practice experience spans 30 years across nephrology social work, juvenile justice, child welfare, AIDS services, and nursing home services.

These interests are deeply informed by her two decades of work as a nephrology social worker. She is also committed to advancing social justice and policy advocacy through her practice and teaching.
Professional and Community Engagement: Before her academic career, Dr. Fagan accumulated over 30 years of experience in diverse social work domains. At Methodist University, she actively participates in Chapel services and campus activities to support students. Her community involvement includes advocating for homeless services and social justice initiatives.
Personal Interests: She enjoys Sudoku, crossword puzzles, crocheting, knitting, and listening to jazz music.
