Dr. Carla Cheatham is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Online School Counseling program (OSCOUN) at Seattle University's College of Education. With over 25 years of experience, she specializes in academic, career, and social/emotional school counseling. She holds licensures as a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC-IL) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), alongside credentials in Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and Certified School Career Development Advisor (CSCDA).

- B.S. in Journalism, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale
Research & Advocacy: Her research focuses on equity issues in career development within school counseling. She actively presents on antiracist practices, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and曾 served as president of the Illinois Association for Multicultural Counseling (IAMC) and secretary for the Illinois Career Development Association (ICDA). She currently sits on the National Career Development Association’s (NCDA) Leadership Academy Committee and is incoming NCDA Board Trustee for School Career Counselors and Specialists.
