About
Carla Brunner is a doctoral student in the Ultrafast Nanoscience group at the Department of Physics, Umeå University. Her research focuses on the interaction of orbital angular momentum of light and magnetic materials using ultrafast spectroscopy, with applications in quantum optics and plasmonics.
Education: B.Sc. in Physics (Mass Photometry for protein mass measurement), M.Sc. in Physics (entangled photon triplet states in tapered nanofibers). Current research involves developing an ultrafast pump-probe setup to study magnetism-plasmon interactions with temporal resolution.
Research interests span quantum states of light, biochemistry applications like super-resolution microscopy, and nanoparticle dynamics in glycocalyx systems. Member of the Ultrafast Nanoscience group led by Prof. Nicoló Maccaferri at Umeå.
