Carina Hibberd

Dr Carina Hibberd is a Lecturer in Acute Nursing at the University of Stirling, within the Health Sciences department. Her research focuses on integrating mental and physical health care, addressing the interdependence of these systems, and improving patient well-being through cross-disciplinary approaches. She explores how healthcare staff can better support patients with long-term conditions experiencing anxiety and depression, emphasizing institutional and training reforms. Her work aligns with UK national priorities for integrated healthcare systems. Dr Hibberd is also engaged in Implementation Science, aiming to bridge research findings with practical healthcare applications. She contributes to the Enhancing Self-Care Research Group and Health Psychology initiatives at the University of Stirling.
