Carin Lony

Dr. Carin Lony serves as a Lecturer at the University of Münster's Center for Dutch Studies (Zentrum für Niederlande-Studien). Since October 1991, she has held a Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben (specialized lecturer) position, focusing on Dutch language acquisition and instructional material development. Her teaching spans bachelor's and binational master's programs, with courses in technical language, conversational skills, and translation.

Education: Studied Germanistics at Radboud University Nijmegen, completed teacher certification (Referendariat) in 1987. Professional experience includes secondary school teaching in Bochholt (1987), Dutch/German language instruction at a private Dutch institution (1987–1991), and state-certified translation training (1990). She is a sworn translator in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities include managing Dutch language curriculum development and serving on the Teaching Commission (Kommission für Lehre). Consultation available by email appointment.
