Carey Jewitt is a Professor of Technology and Learning at UCL Knowledge Lab, part of the Department of Culture, Communication and Media at the UCL Institute of Education (IOE). She also serves as Chair of the UCL Collaborative Social Science Domain. Her research focuses on how digital technologies shape interaction and communication, emphasizing interdisciplinary methodological innovation and multimodal theory development.
She leads the InTouch project, an ERC Consolidator Award investigating the social implications of digital touch technologies for future communication.
