Carayol Martin

Carayol Martin serves as a Lecturer at Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), specializing in European languages and cultures with a focus on Finnish studies.

Research interests span multiple specialized literary domains including:

• Finno-Ugric literary traditions
• Imaginary literature genres (science fiction, fantasy, and marvelous literature)
• Literary canonization processes
• Translation theory and practice

As a faculty member in the Europe department under CNU Section 15 (covering Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew and other languages and literature), Martin teaches Finnish language and literature courses focusing specifically on Littérature finlandaise.
