Camille Frazier

Camille Frazier serves as Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Clarkson University, specializing in the intersection of urban development, food systems, and cultural practices with a geographical focus on Bengaluru, India.

Her research critically examines how rapid urbanization transforms regional food ecologies and economies through ethnographic tracing of fresh produce supply chains connecting urban consumers to peri-urban agricultural producers. This work situates within Urban Anthropology and Environmental Anthropology frameworks, emphasizing socio-cultural dimensions of sustainability and development.

Dr. Frazier actively contributes to pedagogical innovation as author of the “Teaching with Hope” series and Co-Editor of the Teaching Tools section for Cultural Anthropology journal.

She collaborates with KCET (the nation's largest independent public media company) through the LENS project to produce research-driven environmental storytelling content, bridging academic research with public engagement.
