Cameron Gordon

Dr. Cameron Gordon holds an Honorary Associate Professorship at the Crawford School of Public Policy and Tax & Transfer Policy Institute of the Australian National University (ANU). He also serves as a Principal Investigator at the Social Policy Simulation Center of the City University of New York. His career spans academic roles in Economics, Management, Finance, and Public Administration across institutions including ANU, the University of Southern California, and Imperial College London. Prior to academia, he worked in public service for entities like the U.S. Department of Defense and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

Education: PhD in Economics from the City University of New York Graduate Center (1994).

Research Interests: Interdisciplinary policy and economic history, urban transport infrastructure, governance behavioral dynamics, and the economic evaluation of public health impacts. His work emphasizes applying historical insights to contemporary challenges and analyzing infrastructure resilience, particularly in transport systems.

Grants & Projects: Co-Investigator on a study on the Social cost of road crashes in Australia (2021–2022). Collaborations include the Transportation Research Board (TRB) for over 25 years.

Labs/Teams: Affiliated with ANU’s Research School of Economics, Research School of Management, and the Social Policy Simulation Center. Active in international networks like the Polytechnic University of Madrid’s TRANSyT and the University of Sydney’s ITLS.
