Caleb Ferrari is a Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the School of Arts, University of the West of England (UWE). He joined UWE in 2017 after completing his PhD at Cardiff University. His research focuses on ecocriticism, gender studies, and the works of Angela Carter.

Research Interests: Ecocriticism applied to Angela Carter’s environmental themes, gender identity and visuality, contemporary women’s writing, and modern/postmodern literary theory. He co-founded the Angela Carter Society to promote scholarly engagement with her work.
Teaching: Leads modules on 'Thought, Ideas and Myths' and 'Bristol, Arts and Culture', and contributes to courses like 'Imagined Worlds: Utopian and Dystopian Literature'.
Grants: Secured funding via UWE’s New Starter Research Support Scheme for ecocritical studies. Collaborates in the South, West & Wales Doctoral Training Partnership (SWWDTP) for co-supervised PhD projects.
Publications: Co-edited Ludics and Laughter as Feminist Aesthetic: Angela Carter at Play (2021) and authored works on gender, visuality, and Carter’s literary techniques.
