Caitlin Margaret Singleton is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience at Aalborg University, affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Science and the Center for Microbial Communities. Her research focuses on environmental microbiology, particularly the roles of bacteria and archaea in natural and engineered systems such as wastewater treatment, anaerobic digesters, and biogeochemical cycles. She leads projects on microbial dark matter, peatland health, and biogas production optimization.
