Caitlin Halfacre

Caitlin Halfacre is a Research Associate in Linguistics at Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in sociophonetics, phonetics, phonology, and language variation. She completed her PhD at Newcastle University under the supervision of Ghada Khattab and Rory Turnbull, with initial guidance from Danielle Turton. Her research explores the interactions between regional, social, and educational factors in modern Received Pronunciation (RP) and regional variation within Manchester through the Manchester Voices project.
