Caitlin Farrell

Caitlin Farrell is the Director of the National Center of Research in Policy and Practice (NCRPP) and an Associate Research Professor at the University of Colorado in the Department of Learning Sciences & Human Development. She holds a PhD in Urban Education Policy and focuses on bridging educational research, policy, and practice through qualitative methods.

• Education: BA from Dartmouth College, Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University, and PhD in Urban Education Policy from the University of Southern California.

Her research explores how educational policies are implemented, particularly in K–12 systems, emphasizing organizational theory, evidence-based reforms in classrooms and schools, and alternative governance structures like charter schools. She has also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley and an elementary school teacher in New York and Washington, DC public schools.
