Cait McPherson

Cait McPherson is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Anthropology at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Her research examines developmental stress impacts on physiological outcomes using bioarchaeological and clinical approaches.

She investigates life history trade-offs involving growth and survival in historical populations, with current projects analyzing gestational stress effects on pediatric skeletal development. Fieldwork includes bioarchaeological collaboration with the La Playa Archaeological Project and ethnographic work for the National Park Service.

Teaching specializations include skeletal anatomy, biological anthropology, and digital osteology methods incorporating CT scan analysis.
