CUMA BOZKURT

CUMA BOZKURT is a Professor at Gaziantep University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Trade and Logistics. He has been serving in this position since 2021, following his promotion from Associate Professor (2016-2021) and Assistant Professor (2007-2016) roles at the same institution. His academic journey began with Research Assistant positions at Gaziantep University (1998-1999, 2006-2007) and Çukurova University (1999-2006).

Dr. Bozkurt has made significant contributions to understanding the Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis, renewable energy's relationship with economic growth, and the impact of digitalization on logistics and trade. His work often focuses on Turkey's economic position within global contexts, comparing it with OECD countries, EU members, and emerging economies.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on contemporary economic challenges including the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on digital transformation, green logistics applications, and the relationship between sustainable development and carbon footprint. His research methodology frequently employs econometric analysis of time series data, structural break cointegration tests, and comparative studies across different country groups.

Dr. Bozkurt has supervised numerous graduate students, with 4 doctoral dissertations and 17 master's theses completed under his guidance. His administrative experience includes serving as Department Chair (2016-2018, 2018-2020), Head of Science Field (2015-2016, 2018-2020), and Vice Dean (2010-2013, 2017-2018) at Gaziantep University. He has also led several research projects, including a national scientific research project on Logistics Performance Index and Economic Growth Relationship.
