CESAR DOMINGUEZ DOMINGUEZ

César Domínguez Domínguez is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Automatic Control and Applied Physics of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is also a member of the Instituto de Energía Solar (IES) at the same university, where he focuses on advancing high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) technologies to reduce solar electricity costs.

• Research Interests: Design, prototyping, and characterization of concentrator (CPV) and micro-CPV systems; solar simulators; renewable energy optimization.
• Education: PhD in Photovoltaic Solar Energy (2012) from the Solar Energy Institute, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

His work spans 25+ competitive public projects and 20+ private R&D initiatives, resulting in 3 European patents (1 also granted in the USA). He has held leadership roles in international conferences like CPV-17 and contributed to 26 JCR-indexed publications (21 in Q1 journals), two book chapters in CPV handbooks, and over 85 conference presentations. Dr. Domínguez collaborates with global institutions, including Fraunhofer Institute (Germany), Solfocus (USA), and MIT (USA), and participates in IEC technical committees for CPV standards. He serves as a reviewer for top photovoltaic conferences and journals and has acted as an international thesis committee member for six CPV-related dissertations.
