About
C.J. Li is Professor and Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Green/Organic Chemistry at McGill University's Department of Chemistry, where he also co-directs the FQRNT Centre for Green Chemistry and Catalysis. A graduate of Zhengzhou University (B.Sc) and McGill University (Ph.D), he holds fellowships in all major chemical societies including RSC, ACS, AAAS, and The World Academy of Sciences.
Research pioneers sustainable chemical processes:
- Grignard-type reactions in water
- Cross-dehydrogenative couplings (CDC)
- Photocatalytic C-H functionalization
- Methane/CO₂ conversion technologies
- Lignin valorization methods
Award recognition includes the US Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, Humboldt Research Award, and CIC Medal. Teaches CHEM 462 (Green Chemistry) and CHEM 512 (Catalysis). No student or publication details were extracted from provided text.
