C. J. Keith van Rijsbergen

C. J. Keith van Rijsbergen is a Professor and leader of the Information Retrieval Group in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. He holds fellowships from the Royal Academy of Engineering, Royal Society of Edinburgh, IEE, BCS, and ACM.

Education:

• Bachelor's in Mathematics, University of Western Australia
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, University of Cambridge (1972)

Research Interests: Keith's work focuses on theoretical and experimental aspects of information retrieval, including logics for information flow modeling. He has contributed to EU projects like Fermi, Miro, Mira, Idomeneus, and K-space. His research bridges computer science, artificial intelligence, and mathematical foundations of IR systems.
