Burcu Bugu is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her research bridges Medical Anthropology and Sociocultural Anthropology, focusing on political violence, affect, memory, and urban space. She has received grants for interdisciplinary projects analyzing the historical and sociopolitical dynamics of Dersim and architectural heritage in the Late Ottoman Empire.
